As a result of social media, I find there are many more blogs and facebook sites that offer support groups and options for parents who have placed a child for adoption. Below are some valuable links, but make sure you look at the blogs links on our pages, or search for support in Facebook groups. Feel free to contact us if you want to add any links.
- Adoption Council of Canada
Canada’s mail adoption council raises public awareness of adoption, promotes the placement of waiting children and youth, and stresses the importance of post-adoption services, including support services for parents who have placed children for adoption.

Provides education about adoption, support for those who have placed and adopted and advocates for all those touched by adoption
ASK provides search and reunion assistance and support in a caring, empathetic and non-judgemental atmosphere. .
- Birthmothers of Canada
Purpose: We want to support one another as a community and access truly congruent information about adoption in order to dispel the myths and silence around the birthmother experience. Together we come to understand and bring sense to the our world in order to heal and be whole within our identity as birthmothers.

Peer counseling, support, encouragement, and friendship to pregnant women considering adoption and women who have already placed children for adoption.
- Birthmother Resources
Created to help you learn and understand more about your pregnancy, about the child you will deliver or have already given birth to, and about resources that can help you to raise your child yourself or help you to place your child with the perfect loving adopting family.

Providing a united voice for mothers who have lost their children to adoption.

We serve all those touched by adoption and concerned about adoption issues. Although our focus is on birthparents, our membership includes adoptees, adoptive parents, and professionals.
